you wanna work in an exciting and alternative environment? pushing the boundaries of our gentle revolution further?
well we are embarking on a new and powerful project - the establishment of a permanent ambient lounge in the heart of London, an ethically run daytime organic cafe which turns into a cutting edge multimedia lounge at night with many varying uses. this new project is called - the Ekopia Concept - and is all about finding subtle and empowering ways to change societies behavior patterns - towards a more gentle awareness of our natural and social environment...
so we might have a few opportunities for you:
Green Building Experts: we are aiming to create the planned refurbishments of the property in question with as many sustainable building methods as possible. we want to work with as many craftsman from within our community so if you feel you can contribute in this way - get in touch
Craftsman - have you learned a handy trade, ie electrician, plumber, carpenter, builder - then you might well be needed on our team. we want to create the planned refurb of the Ekopia Lounge with as few mainstream contractors as possible...
Green Architect - we are still looking for a distinguished architect/building project manager - so if you are that or know someone - please make the connection
Fundraiser - many aspects of the Ekopia operatins are highly fundworthy - ie the installation of solar panels and a large scale wind generator, the planned green roof or the new heating system. activities that take place in the event space etc - we would love to work with a designated fund raiser on this
Vegetarian Chef - do yo have a passion for vegetarian, healthy, cutting edge food. Do you think you have what it takes to be part of a busy kitchen operation as part of a dynamic and forward thinking team. we strive for excellence here - where possible our food will be organic, fair traded, locally sourced, seasonal, vegetarian, carbon economic and HEALTHY - without frightening the major part of the mainstream tastebuds. We also intend to promote super foods and other health products.
Front of House Staff - if you think you can handle a busy cafe/bar counter and if you are a good communicator with people skills - we need you. all we require from you is a passion about the issues we stand for - positive environmental change and social cohesion.
Research and Admin - we are also still looking for confident and able communiatiors who believe in the course of our mission. There are a thousand things to do in the creation of this new venture, we can sure do with some help here. Let us know what admin skills you already have to get a good picture
