A journey to the core of chill is as much a journey to the core of each and every one of us in the minds of the creators behind IDSpiral.
Chill, however, is not simply relating to a moment of relaxation, much rather it refers to a deeply insightful place of reflection and realization, a space we too often go amiss in the western world, governed by fast fading desires and the breathless pursuit of our wants.
By standing still if only for a fragment in time we gain the distance and yet closeness to our true selves, understanding the real nature of our path, the meaningfulness of life and the incredible beauty that every one of us has been given through the essence of life and creation. We are the creators of our own realities, a seemingly simplistic concept with vast consequences. Deep within us we all hold the key to evolution, bestowed with healing powers that even in this desolate moment in time have the potential to turn the seemingly inevitable progression of destruction on this planet of ours.
Within IDSpiral we believe in creativity as one of the keys to open these gateways, inspiring the observer to grasp his/her very own artistic nature. This can occur either by witnessing others in starting out on this path or by being drawin into one of the many interactive features of our programming: dance workshops, open mic sessions, interactive visual installations etc.
Many of the environments IDSpiral create are deeply textured but nonetheless white canvasses that demand imagination to complete the holistic picture, only possible via a process of active involvement of the mind.
By giving ample attention to many of the smallest details in their environments we aim to encourage the observer to apply a mindset of awareness and focus, often required to step beyond the barriers of self-illusion and ego.
Many of the acts booked to perform on stage at our events will have been chosen for their understanding of the healing properties of music and dance, the conscious message conveyed through their lyrics and poems or
the eye opening power of their visual art content.
The understanding of interconnectedness of all beings is one of the guiding principles that drive IDSpiral to continue to strive forwards, save in the knowledge that however small an impact on any one mind the consequences are vital to all of us.
