Josko
aka
Giorgio was born in Rome 30 years ago.. He spent 15 of those
researching spaced-out music. In 1992 he did his first dj set, with 10
vinyls, and a lot of tapes from radio stations. He performs in some
festivals around Europe and underground urban parties under London's
surfaces. His sets have had several transitions and inputs, developing
during the years into a single-minded djing concept able to interact
with low-pitched dancefloors or relaxed chillouts , always.. trying to
challenge the future and discover new musical horizons. He is currently
A&R and Label manager of Indica Music, he collaborates with
Neurobiotic Records, and he is the mind behind the alternative stage at

This Week 'The Shadow Circus' (CIA in Tibet) This is both a fascinating
documentary and an intriguing work ofinvestigative reporting. CIA
involvement in Tibet is one of thelesser-known sideshows of the Cold War,
one that ended with tragedy andbloodshed as Tibetan fighters, trying to
wage a guerilla struggleagainst far superior Chinese forces, were
exploited and then abandonedin the interests of a larger U.S. agenda. The
filmmakers have trackeddown and interviewed many of the Tibetan and
American principals in theoperation and put together a lucid and engaging
account of this sadstory.

New Horizon's Tuesday Talks
Tuesday 29nd April @ 7.00pm
RAW MAGIC Book Launch w/ Kate Magic Wood
Kate is so excited about superfoods and their effects, and will share her passion for and expertise in the planet's best foods in this talk. She has been including superfoods in her diet for over two decades and has a wealth of understanding of how these foods work in the body and affect our health and well-being on a holistic level.
Kate will discuss the Raw Magic philosophy: when we tune into our body's natural intelligence, we align with the universal wisdom. Through detoxing with raw food and superfoods, we rediscover t
he magic of life, where everything is possible, miracles become a daily reality, and life flows effortlessly. By the law of attraction, the more we vibrate at a pure and joyous level, the more we create a world of harmony and bliss.
We will look at the different superfoods, their nutritional properties and energetic qualities, including maca, cacao, gojis, bee pollen, the algaes and the seaweeds.
And we will create and enjoy the finest gourmet raw chocolate cake, crammed with as many superfoods as we can manage!
This is cutting edge nutritional teaching, combined with empowering inspiration and wisdom, and utterly amazing food - for your mind, your heart and your body, it's all in Raw Magic.

Tip of the Day
how do we get on top of the looming energy crisis, peak oil and food shortages??? have a read...
There were approximately 6.5 billion people living on earth in 2005, and as the world's population continues to grow, our requirement for food will also increase. Worldwide food production requires 30% of the total soil available, 20% of fossil fuel energy and a major part of the fresh water flow. Raising cattle is one of the most damaging components of agriculture. They cause the most environmental damage of any non-human species through over-grazing, soil erosion, desertification and tropical deforestation for ranches, in addition to their gaseous emissions and manure products. Studies on world food security estimate that an affluent diet containing meat requires up to 3 times as many resources as a vegetarian diet.
Global production of meat has risen dramatically from 130 million tonnes in the late 1970s to 230 million tonnes in the year 2000. Meat is now the single largest source of animal protein in all affluent nations and demand for animal flesh is expected to more than double by the year 2050. In order to meet this growing appetite, animals will no doubt be reared more intensively and cheaply with factory farming and aquaculture (fish farming) causing further pollution, water and land usage. If nothing is done, the environmental impact of meat production can only increase.
Diet is an important tool in working to achieve environmental sustainability.
See you all in the lounge one of these days
